Solar PV

A reliable and sustainable resource that can help reduce reliance on the National Grid and save on electricity spend. Modern panels are highly efficient, with subsidy-free CAPEX models currently showing 3-4 year paybacks due to rising energy costs.

Wind Energy

A clean, renewable source of electricity. If your business has enough space, it can generate its own electricity via on-site wind turbines. Reducing your dependence on grid power can help reduce your energy costs by avoiding fluctuations in commodity and non-commodity prices.

Air Source Heat Pumps

An efficient, low-carbon and renewable heat source when paired with a green supply contract. Also known as air-to-water source heat pumps, they take heat from the outside air and raise it to a higher temperature using a compressor.

Ground Source Heat Pump

A renewable heating system that collects and transfers geothermal heat stored in the ground and distributes it to radiators or underfloor heating at your premises.

Combined Heat & Power (CHP)

CHP captures waste heat produced during electricity generation from a gas generator, and then uses it to power heating, cooling, hot water and industrial processes. Ideal for sites that require electricity and thermal energy, including industrial estates and commercial buildings.

Waste Heat to Energy (WtE)

WtE systems capture waste heat from existing processes and convert it into power or useful heat, offering significant potential for carbon reduction. Ideal for utilising energy from waste plants, including anaerobic digestion models, and generating low-carbon electricity for use on-site.

Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPAs)

A CPPA is an energy-purchasing contract between a business and a renewable energy generator, typically involving large-scale renewable projects such as wind or solar. When you partner with Trident, we’ll work with you to negotiate power prices and embedded benefits between parties.

Subsidy management

The subsidy landscape changes regularly, and at Trident we’re here to help keep you informed at every decision. Schemes that you can still apply for include the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG), which assists small-scale generators who export low-carbon electricity back to the National Grid, and the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, which issues grants to encourage businesses to switch from fossil fuel heating systems to either a heat pump or biomass boiler.
