What you'll do:
As a New Business Development Manager, you’ll focus on winning new clients and introducing them to Trident’s energy solutions. You’ll use your industry knowledge and commercial insight to help businesses cut energy costs and progress towards a net zero future.
Working closely with our Business Generation and Marketing teams, you’ll build a strong pipeline of opportunities, manage the full sales process, and ensure a smooth transition for each new client. Your work will directly support Trident’s growth and our commitment to long-term, trusted partnerships.
Your key responsibilities:
Pipeline Development

Qualify prospects, generate new leads and identify potential introducers to drive business growth

Use CRM (Hubspot) tools and contact lists effectively to support prospecting and outreach

Maximise the return on marketing activity by following up on leads and campaign engagement
-
Collaborate with the Business Generation team to maintain a strong, well-targeted appointment schedule
Pipeline Management

Plan and attend client meetings, maintaining strategic account plans for high-value prospects

Prepare tailored presentation decks and formal proposals that align with client needs
-
Communicate relevant product developments and negotiate deals to successful close

Build lasting relationships with prospects, partners and decision-makers
Reporting

Maintain and update accurate pipeline reports and provide accurate monthly sales reporting

Log all sales activity in a timely manner

Work towards agreed targets and KPIs through active pipeline management

Share insights and feedback to support product and service development
Stakeholder Relationships

Report to the Sales and Marketing Director and collaborate with internal teams across the business

Work closely with the Business Generation team to align on appointment setting and lead quality

Collaborate with the Marketing team to support campaign development, rollout and feedback

Liaise with delivery teams to identify customer acquisition targets and cross-sell opportunities
Who you are:
You’re a confident and driven business development professional who thrives on building relationships and delivering results. You take a consultative approach, think commercially, and are comfortable managing your own time and targets.
What you'll bring
Essential:

A proven background in B2B sales with a strong track record of managing pipelines and exceeding targets

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders

Highly self-motivated, commercially astute and able to work independently under pressure

A collaborative mindset with strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlinesProficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred), Excel and reporting tools
Desirable:

Experience working in an energy consultancy or energy retail environment

Business Sales Executive – Sales Team

What you'll do:
As a Business Sales executive, you’ll join a team of experienced salespeople within a fast-growing area of the energy industry. You’ll play a key role in supporting our new business efforts, generating high-quality leads and appointments and promoting Trident’s full range of services to prospective clients.
This is a great opportunity to build your sales skills in a supportive environment, with a generous basic salary, an uncapped commission structure, and plenty of room to grow. You’ll be part of a fun, collaborative team where your ideas and energy will be valued.
Your key responsibilities:

Qualify prospects by identifying key decision-makers and assessing energy spend, using HubSpot and contact lists to support outreach

Arrange high-quality initial and subsequent meetings for the field sales team, ensuring Trident is promoted professionally

Follow up on marketing campaigns and inbound leads to maximise engagement and uncover new business opportunities

Identify customer needs and spot opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional services, working towards agreed targets and KPIs

Account Executive

What you'll do:
As an Account Executive, you’ll play a key role in delivering a first-class service experience to our clients. You’ll support the Operations team by ensuring accurate data handling, invoice validation and query resolution, while helping businesses navigate their energy accounts with clarity and confidence.
Working closely with Account Managers and other internal teams, you’ll help drive service quality, maintain strong supplier relationships, and keep customer satisfaction at the heart of everything you do.
Your key responsibilities:
Client Support and Service Delivery
-
Enter and validate energy invoices and statements, including electronic billing files, using internal systems
-
Upload energy consumption data to our in-house platforms
-
Identify missing or incomplete data and take appropriate action to resolve gaps
-
Handle incoming billing enquiries from customers and suppliers, delivering a high-quality service experience
Supplier and Stakeholder Engagement
-
Develop effective working relationships with suppliers to ensure fast, accurate query resolution
-
Request customer meter readings and complete customer levy data, submitting them to suppliers or Ofgem as needed
-
Complete ROC and REGO transfers for customer accounts
-
Administer customer renewable incentive payment runs and manage change of tenancy processes
Reporting and Collaboration

Support the wider business with scheduled and ad hoc data, analysis and reporting tasks

Report any customer complaints in line with company processes

Ensure CRM systems and internal records are maintained with up-to-date, accurate information
