About the role:

We're looking for an experienced sales leader to drive new business growth across Trident's energy, sustainability and compliance services.

Leading our Business Generation team, you'll be responsible for developing people, building pipeline and ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality opportunities for our Business Development Managers. Working closely with Sales and Marketing, you'll play a key role in shaping business generation strategy, improving conversion performance and supporting Trident's continued growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys coaching others, developing talent and delivering commercial results.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Business Generation Executives

  • Create and deliver the business generation strategy in line with company growth objectives

  • Drive the generation of high-quality pipeline opportunities across Trident's service portfolio

  • Work closely with Marketing to maximise campaign performance, lead quality and conversion rates

  • Monitor pipeline, forecasting and team performance against agreed targets

  • Support the development of outbound prospecting, qualification and lead generation activity

  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers to improve lead-to-close conversion rates

  • Identify new market opportunities, routes to market and areas for growth

  • Represent Trident at customer meetings, networking events and industry events

What we're looking for: 

Essential:  
  • Proven experience in a sales leadership, business development or commercial management role

  • Track record of leading and developing high-performing sales teams

  • Strong experience managing pipeline, forecasting and sales performance

  • Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles and senior decision-makers

  • Commercially minded with a results-driven approach

Desirable: 
  • Experience within the energy, utilities, sustainability or consultancy sectors

  • Experience working closely with marketing teams to support business growth

  • Knowledge of energy procurement, net zero, carbon reduction or compliance services

  • Understanding of UK energy and sustainability frameworks, including ESOS, SECR and SBTi

Business Development Manager

About the role:

We're looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to help more organisations reduce cost, consumption and carbon.

You'll be responsible for winning new business across Trident's energy procurement, net zero, compliance and bureau services. Working closely with our Business Generation and Marketing teams, you'll develop new opportunities, build relationships with senior decision-makers and guide prospects through the sales process from initial conversation to signed agreement.

What you'll be doing:

  • Generate and develop new business opportunities across Trident's service portfolio

  • Build relationships with prospective customers and key decision-makers

  • Manage the sales process from initial conversation through to proposal and close

  • Deliver tailored presentations, proposals and commercial recommendations

  • Follow up marketing-generated leads and identify new opportunities within your target market

  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and sales forecast within HubSpot

  • Work closely with our Business Generation, Marketing and Service Delivery teams to support customer acquisition

  • Represent Trident at customer meetings, networking events and industry events

What we're looking for: 

Essential:  
  • Proven experience in a B2B business development or sales role

  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets

  • Experience managing opportunities through a structured sales pipeline

  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills

  • Commercially minded with the ability to identify and develop opportunities

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently 

Desirable: 
  • Experience within the energy, utilities or sustainability sector

  • Understanding of energy procurement, net zero or carbon reduction services

  • Experience using HubSpot or a similar CRM platform

Business Generation Executive

About the role:

We're looking for a confident and motivated Business Generation Executive to help drive new business opportunities across Trident's energy, sustainability and compliance services.

You'll play an important role in our sales process, identifying and engaging prospective customers through a combination of outbound prospecting, lead qualification and marketing follow-up activity. Working closely with Sales and Marketing colleagues, you'll help generate high-quality pipeline and arrange meetings for our Business Development team while developing valuable sales skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in sales, with ongoing development, uncapped commission and clear progression opportunities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Identify and engage prospective customers through outbound prospecting activity

  • Generate new business opportunities through phone, email and LinkedIn outreach

  • Qualify prospects and identify key decision-makers

  • Generate qualified opportunities and arrange meetings for our Business Development team

  • Follow up marketing-generated leads and campaign activity

  • Identify opportunities to introduce additional Trident services

Debtor Relationship Manager (Part-Time)

About the role:

We're looking for a proactive and professional Debtor Relationship Manager to join our Finance team.

This is a standalone role focused on maintaining positive relationships with customers while ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts. You'll play an important part in supporting cash flow, resolving account queries and providing clear reporting on debtor performance and collection activity.

The role would suit someone who combines strong relationship-building skills with a commercially minded approach and enjoys taking ownership of their workload.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and debtors

  • Manage the collection of outstanding debt in line with agreed payment terms

  • Proactively follow up overdue and upcoming payments

  • Respond to and resolve invoice and payment-related queries

  • Work closely with Finance, Sales and Service Delivery teams to resolve account issues

  • Maintain accurate debtor records and account information

  • Produce regular reporting on debtor positions, collection activity and potential risks

  • Support the wider Finance team with ad hoc tasks as required

What we're looking for: 

Essential:  
  • Experience in credit control, accounts receivable or debt collection

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • A professional and customer-focused approach

  • Ability to manage workloads independently and prioritise effectively

  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Desirable: 
  • Experience working within a business-to-business (B2B) environment

  • Experience producing debtor or financial reporting

  • Familiarity with accounting or finance systems
