Trident named one of the UK's Best Workplaces for Wellbeing 2026
Trident Utilities is proud to announce that we have achieved 74th place in the
medium-sized business list of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing™.
The Best Workplaces for Wellbeing list focuses on employees’ holistic experiences of wellbeing at work, including their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, social support, job satisfaction, and financial security, to reveal the best workplaces for wellbeing in the UK.
Our inclusion on this exclusive list officially acknowledges our commitment to create a consistently and overwhelmingly positive employee experience, to foster cultures that are proven to drive business, improve lives, and better society. Over the past 18 months, we have introduced numerous new incentives to solidify our commitment to employee wellbeing, including the development of our very own internal Wellbeing Team, who organise various events, such as Litter Picks, Morning Coffee Walks.
They have undertaken wellbeing training via the Six Connections Foundation programme, which allows them to support the wider team if they have any issues regarding their mental health and overall personal wellbeing.
To compile the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing List, Great Place To Work® reviewed our culture, benefits, approach to leadership and development, alongside anonymous responses from our employees. They then used these data insights to benchmark our company's employee value proposition against the culture our employees actually experience. Only the businesses who achieve the highest scores after evaluation receive Best Workplaces™ status.
From our anonymous employee feedback, we can see that overall our team highly commends our dedication to improving and growing our internal culture across the business.
Head of Finance, Michael Pinnock, stated:
"Our inclusion in the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing is a testament to our people, whose commitment to supporting one another creates a truly positive and empowering culture, built on the shared belief that wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do."
Michael Dugdale, Managing Director of Trident, said:
" How you treat your people is how your people treat your customers, and I'm committed to the belief that when you get the inside right, the outside will take care of itself. The Trident team live and breathe this ethos, and we're supported by an amazing Wellbeing Team that works hard to support and create a thriving and inclusive culture. I feel it's really important that culture is measured, not claimed, therefore, I'm super proud to be recognised in the UKs Best Workplaces for Wellbeing. ”
Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place To Work UK says:
"Creating a culture of wellbeing requires deliberate leadership, strong values and consistent action that puts people first. The UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing™ List recognises organisations that take a genuinely holistic approach to supporting their people, across mental, physical and financial health, as well as fostering a strong sense of belonging.
To be recognised on this list is a clear signal that wellbeing is not treated as a peripheral initiative, but as a fundamental part of organisational culture. Congratulations to [company name] on this achievement and for setting a leading example for workplaces across the UK."
This award is our third from Great Place To Work over the past 12 months, as we also featured in the UK's Best Workplaces™ 2026 and UK's Best Workplaces for Development™ 2026 lists!
