The Challenge

Grand Union is currently responsible for 11,000 affordable homes across Bedfordshire, Northampton and the surrounding counties, managed by four subsidiary housing groups including one specialising in providing accommodation and support to people with learning disabilities. 

An ethical business, Grand Union believes in putting community at the heart of everything it does. Like all businesses, however, it needs to ensure its energy costs remain within budget. To ensure its energy solutions were as affordable and effective as possible, Grand Union appointed Trident. The group’s main focus was procurement and validation via our OJEU-compliant framework, to:

• Reduce existing energy costs.
• Mitigate the risk of future cost increase.
• Demonstrate cost transparency.

When the group compared Trident’s submissions with that of their current consultant, it was clear to see we were the better match. Service costs were agreed and formalised in advance.
