Forest Green Rovers, dubbed "the greenest football club in the world", have ensnared another accolade around their green credentials. The League One club came top of a study from the Sports Positive Leagues that aggregates green performance on several factors, as announced by the BBC.
The football club earned a perfect score of 24, celebrated for measures including a vegan menu for spectators, players and staff, electric car charging points and powering the stadium with 100% renewable energy. Their score also outranks their premier league equivalents; Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, both on 23, were their nearest rivals.
